Giving Away 100 Educator Gift Boxes

Apply for our giveaway in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month!

May is AAPI Heritage Month! Teach Asian American Stories has created AAPI Heritage Month Educator Gift Boxes to help bring AAPI history and contributions to life in K–12 classrooms across New Jersey, in May and beyond.

All boxes include educator guides and some fun extras for our teachers, in addition to grade-appropriate book selections:

Lower Elementary (K-2)

  • When I Found Grandma by Saumiya Balasubramaniam
  • Shark Lady: The True Story of How Eugenie Clark Became the Ocean’s Most Fearless Scientist by Jess Keating
  • A Different Pond by Bao Phi

Upper Elementary (3-5)

Middle School (6-8)

Guidelines

  • For New Jersey public school educators only.
  • Materials must be requested by a certified, full-time K-12 classroom teacher.
  • Box must be shipped to school address.
  • Boxes will be shipped on a rolling basis by April 15, or until supplies run out.
  • Submissions will be reviewed and approved on a case by case basis.
