For Educators and District Leaders
You play a critical part in making sure all students feel they belong, have a place in history, and are prepared for a successful future.
We are proud that New Jersey is one of the first two states in the nation to require that Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) history and contributions be taught in our K-12 public school classrooms, beginning in the 2022-23 school year.
We know the many pressures our dedicated educators and district leaders face. Our mission is to ensure access to the highest-quality resources and training available, so that all public school students in New Jersey grow up understanding that Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are part of the fabric of our nation, and all AAPI children know they matter and belong.
By providing a one-stop resource, we’re here to empower districts and make it easy for educators to incorporate AAPI history & contributions in their everyday lesson plans.
- Assistance identifying the professional development opportunities that work best for you and your district
- Connection to curricular resources and virtual professional development modules
- Peer mentoring opportunities through our growing network of educator champions
- Financial assistance for at-need districts that wish to support the inclusion of AAPI history and contributions with professional development
